We’re super excited about the release of a new book, authored and about one of our all time muses Chloe Sevigny. Cataloguing 170 iconic and unseen images from the span of her career, combined with personal memorabilia from beginnings as a teenager in Connecticut through to the style muse she is now.

After escaping from suburbia to New York in the mid-nineties, she began modelling and interning at Sassy magazine, who labelled her as ‘the new It girl’. After gaining mainstream recognition, she went on to feature in Sonic Youth videos (the book’s foreword is written by front woman Kim Gordon) and made her debut film appearance in Larry Clark’s cult classic Kids.

She has since starred in a long line of roles in independent and art house films, often taking on challenging roles whilst maintaining her status as a fashion icon for her personal style and designing her own collections.

Sevigny has long reigned as inspiration to us all at Glasshouse, (see our hair musing post here) and we love her innate eclectic style and independent spirit that characterises all that she does. We can’t wait to get our hands on a copy!

Chloe Sevigny is published by Rizzoli and is out now.
