A skin sensitivity patch test is a simple, essential safety measure required for all new clients, or existing clients who haven't received a colour service with us in the last six months.

It takes just a few moments for our hairdressers to apply a small amount of our specialised formula behind your ear or in the crook of your elbow. This brief visit allows you to take in the calm, sensory atmosphere of the salon, meet our team, and ensure complete peace of mind before your main transformation.

Our team exclusively uses Organic Colour Systems, a naturally-based, ammonia-free colouring line meticulously developed to minimise skin irritation, harsh chemical fumes, and allergic reactions. By eliminating aggressive synthetics and replacing them with Soil Association certified organic ingredients, we provide a significantly gentler environment for those who typically experience discomfort during traditional hair salon appointments.

Why Organic Colour Systems is Different for Sensitive Scalps:

• No Ammonia or Resorcinol: We completely avoid these highly aggressive chemicals, which are the leading causes of scalp burning, itching, and strong synthetic odors in conventional salons.

• Lowest Possible PPD and PTD Levels: While all permanent hair colour requires a small amount of pigment pigments (PPD/PTD) to function, our formulas utilize the absolute lowest possible percentages in the industry, drastically minimizing the risk of an allergic reaction.

Please note: Your skin sensitivity patch test must be completed at least 48 hours prior to booking any highlighting, balayage, lightening, or root tinting services. This service is entirely complimentary and takes less than 5 minutes to apply in-salon.
