Here at Glasshouse we are unapologetic granola lovers, and there is nothing we love more than our own healthier versions of everyone’s favourite snacks! Our homemade maple glazed treat is the perfect way to spruce up your breakfast, kick starting your day with a nourishing and satisfying bowl of goodness.
Because store bought granola is often packed with unnecessary sugars, we always opt for our easy-to-make DIY version. The key to keeping it healthy is to choose the right ingredients and leave out as much of the bad stuff as possible! Each sweet crunchy bite is actually a great source of vitamin E and healthy fats, which does wonders for your skin and acts as an antioxidant in your body.
40g organic oats
10g Pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp 100% pure organic maple syrup 1 tsp coconut oil
1tsp coconut sugar or stevia
Dash of water
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and then scatter on a baking tray and toast for around 8-10 minutes or until slightly golden on a medium heat.
Serve with either yoghurt or almond milk and a generous helping of your favourite summer fruit!
