If you’re in the market for fast and healthy food options to keep you full up between meals look no further than organic, vegan food tumblr, Laura’s Recipes.

An unexpected alternative to traditional guacamole, Laura’s version uses broccoli instead of classic star ingredient, avocado meaning you can gobble up more of it more often and in bigger quantities. Laura suggests eating her “broccamole” with carrot sticks but we also love it as a salad garnish, spread on organic oatcakes or on crunchy toast.

Best bit of all? Broccoli is full of protein and dietary fiber so it’s the perfect snack for in-between meals when you’re feeling peckish.

1 head of broccoli
3 tbsp 0% fat Fage Greek Yoghurt
1 Lemon
Large bunch of roughly chopped coriander
1 deseeded and chopped tomato
1tsp agave syrup Salt & Pepper

  1. Steam broccoli until tender

  2. Mash broccoli with a stick blender then chill

  3. Add other ingredients, mix well and serve
