“With my hair, I love loads of volume and texture for when I go out. Before blow drying I spritz in Original Mineral’s Atonic Thickening Spritz, which is a must if you’re heat styling. After, I use Organic Colour System’s Revive - Volumising Dry Shampoo, which I spray on my roots and ends for added texture. To get glammed up, Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals is my only go-to for glowing, dewy skin. First, I apply a light layer and then focus on the rest of my makeup. A top tip! I always add an extra layer to last the night and finish with the Jane Iredale Hydration Pommisst Spray which sets it all in place without sticking.
For me, it’s all about the eyes and brows during this time of year. I am so into the new RMS Eye Polishes for big nights out as they are bright and shimmery. Utopia’s warm tones and Aura’s metallic amethyst are my favourites for a pop of colour. If you’re after the perfect, natural look, I highly recommend Jane Iredale’s Great Shape Brow Kit that comes in both blonde and brunette shades. I finish with the Jane Iredale Purelash Lash Extender and Conditioner for the fullest lashes and use Ilia Beauty’s Mascara in Nightfall to top things off. Not only is it made with organic ingredients, but it’s long-wearing and packed with volume. There you have it! Now I’m ready to flutter my eyelashes and head off.”

“When it comes to haircare, I like to keep it simple. If I’m heading on a night out, I always opt for Organic Colour System’s Aqua Boost Leave In Conditioner. I just run a pea sized amount through my hair, work it through and then give it a quick blast with the hairdryer. When it’s half dry, I use the Keep Curl Memory Spray (also from Organic Colour Systems) and scrunch in to encourage my curls, giving a natural wavy look.
I swear by Jane Iredale’s Liquid Minerals Foundation and PurePressed Powder for my foundation base. What I love about the powder is that it gives such a great matte effect without feeling at all like your skin is caked. My evening beauty tip is to use one shade darker - for me that’s Golden Glow - giving me that luminescent look I need throughout the dark winter months. If I want to transform my look from day to night, I go for an RMS Lip2Cheek. The deep nude hue, Spell, is the perfect pocket sized accompaniment. Not only is it easy to re apply, but it’s natural ingredients are nourishing and moisturising.”

“The best night out for me is catching up with friends over a good meal. I really don’t change much in terms of my routine from day to evening, but do often go heavier with my eyeliner for a bit more drama. I love Jane Iredale’s Liquid Liner (it’s super easy to apply - a must with liquid eyeliner, especially when you’re in a rush) and if I am feeling really “out there”, I always opt for a bright lip colour. Bellapierre’s Mandarina or Sassy, both with orange pigments are personal favourites.
I don’t tend to wear perfume in the day, as I am always holding my daughter Sadie close to my skin, but since we introduced Abel’s natural fragrances to the salon, I’m a real fan of the Colbalt Amber scent, so I’ll give that a spritz before heading out the door.”

“My going ‘out out’ routine preferably starts as early as I can make it. Around 4pm is perfect; when it starts getting dark and a candlelit bath, salts, oils and a double gin and tonic are perfectly acceptable. I’ll do Guy Morgan’s Midnight Black Cleansing Mask and wash it off in the shower after, staining a flannel in the process (it’s worth it). It somehow manages to moisturise, tighten and remove toxins from the skin all in one. I turn the shower on cold for the last 30 seconds for optimum pore-closing. After I get out, I usually hang around in my towel for far too long and apply some of Austin Austin’s Neroli & Petitgrain Body Cream. A new discovery, this certified organic cream is rich with cocoa butter and sea buckthorn, smells like a dream and sinks in well enough that it doesn’t stick to my outfit (which at this point is in a pile on my bed, ready to be chosen and probably discarded again).
Makeup-wise, there are two products which get my beauty routine in the party mood. RMS’ Buriti Bronzer is a staple, I just use my fingers to dabble it liberally all around my cheekbones, smooshing it in along the way. I don’t usually wear much colour on my cheeks in the day and this makes me feel tanned and glowy and ready to go out. Second up is a red lip. Does anything say Christmas party more than a red lip? The answer is no and my weapon of choice is Ilia’s Lipstick in Femme Fatale. I get super dry lips in winter and most lipsticks don’t work for me, but this one is so moisturising whilst still packing a pigment-punch that it gives me the red pout I want without the drying and cracking. Thank you Ilia!”

“After jumping in the shower, I always reach for Sans [Ceuticals] Activator 7 oil, which helps promote soft skin and lock in moisture. When it comes to hydrating my face, a small amount of RMS’ Beauty Oil makes for a great base before make-up application - leaving a dewy, golden glow. For a nighttime scent, I lightly spray Golden Neroli by Abel and let that sink into my skin. As that’s working its magic, I apply Jane Iredale’s Smooth Affair Primer, which ensures my make-up lasts all night, followed by a small amount of the Glow Time BB cream, making sure to blend evenly.
After my base, I’ll do my eyes using a RMS’ Magic Luminizer for eyelids, top of the brow and a little on the top of the cheekbone, not forgetting a pop of the Longest Lash Mascara from Jane Iredale. With a simple eye, I tend to do a darker lip. A fun colour like Arabian Knights from Ilia adds something dark and different. For hair, I use Organic Colour Systems’ Aqua Boost Leave-in Conditioner through mid-lengths and ends for hydration and protection from heat. Then spray Keep Curl Memory Spray for hold after a blow dry. I wrap dry my fringe and rough dry the rest of my hair. When the hair is 90% dry, I’ll leave it to air dry and add a little more styling spray to encourage more texture. That’s me done!”

“I start my night out by jumping in the shower to wake me up (always much-needed)! Sans [Ceuticals] PH Perfect Body Wash does exactly what it says on the tin - nourishing every bit of my body quickly and effectively. I use that before exfoliating with Sans [Ceuticals] Bio Exfoliant, leaving my body silky soft and eliminating any need for me to moisturise. Fresh from the shower, it’s straight to tending to my hair with Organic Colour Systems’ Aqua Boost Leave-in Conditioner to soften and detangle my blonde knot-prone hair. I pair this with Original Mineral’s Surf Bomb Spray, spritzed upwards into the ends of my hair when half wet to give added texture and natural, beach-y movement.
Onto the face! I start with my newly found love Jane Iredale’s Liquid Minerals in Amber. Liquid Minerals sits in an Aloe Vera serum giving my skin added hydration. I make sure my fine lashes get an added boost with Jane Iredale’s Purelash Lengthening Mascara in Jet Black & a sharp winged liner. Oh, and for a final touch, Bellapierre’s Cherry Pop red lipstick, defined with Jane Iredale’s Lip Pencil in Berry. And I’m ready to go!”

“As a newbie, I’m still in that exciting phase of trialling and testing all of the products we have in stock. I’m a converted fan of Honest’s Charcoal Soap. It’s great for cleansing my body and face without leaving my skin feeling too dry. I hate it when soap makes your skin squeak! I swear by moisturising when I get out of the shower. Sans [Ceuticals] Baobab Repair Cream is really nourishing and doesn’t leave an oily residue. While my hair’s still wet, I pop in Organic Colour System’s Keep Curl Memory Gel and finger set my hair to make sure my curls are bouncy and defined, then wrap it in a towel, so my hair is out of the way while I concentrate on my makeup.
Then, onto my face. I was recently introduced to RMS’ range of coconut-based products and since then I have completely converted to their “Un” Cover-up in 44. My eye make up go-to has been the same for the last ten years - a defined flick of liquid eyeliner. I use Jane Iredale’s Black Ice Mascara to plump my lashes. Dependent on my mood, I always like to opt for a pop colour. Voila from Ilia, with its vibrant orange hue is great for olive skin tones. Oh and not forgetting a little nail polish day or night. I always choose something with a bit of sparkle so Kure Bazaar’s Or Bronze suits me down to the ground.”
