Bug x Glasshouse Anti-Waste Accessories: Collection #2

Bug x Glasshouse Anti-Waste Accessories: Collection #2

Many of us have been reassessing our consumption habits over the last couple of months, with initiatives like Second Hand September encouraging us to look at how we consume fashion and consider a more sustainable alternative. At Glasshouse, we are fully behind the need for “less is more” when it comes to our wardrobe and we’re lucky to know so many amazing designers and makers who create ethical clothes that are made to last.

Long time Glasshouse friends and collaborators, Bug Clothing, use deadstock fabric to create beautiful, linen easy-wear pieces. We have collaborated with the brand for a second collection of Bug x Glasshouse Anti-Waste Accessories - a range of hair accessories made from studio offcuts.

The collection is handmade by Bug Clothing’s Amy Ward in her studio in Wales. The Anti-Waste Accessories include patchwork bandanas and scrunchies in two different colour-ways - pink/red and yellow/cream. The limited edition pieces are perfect for sprucing up a ponytail or adding some colour and playfulness to an everyday look. The Bug x Glasshouse collection has been photographed by Sarah Victoria-Bates whilst worn by artist Tessa Silva in her studio.

Each piece is available online and at A Sustainable Department Store, alongside more of Bug’s beautiful, wearable clothing. Pop by before 15th October at 133-135 Bethnal Green Road, E2 7DG.
