With Valentine’s day approaching, the shop windows are guaranteed to be full of chocolates, cards and cuddly toys. If all that seems a little sickly, we’ve concocted a delicious blend that should keep you sweet without overdosing on sugar.
Our own version of the classic red velvet flavour, this combination of rich beetroot, bittersweet raspberries, cacao and medjool dates is a real treat.
Ingredients:
2 medium beets, steamed and chopped up small (or raw if you have a high speed blender!)
1 banana
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 teaspoon raw cacao powder
2 medjool dates
1 cup almond milk
